[ The thing is, Eddie isnāt totally joking. Heās maybe overreacting just a little, but when doesnāt he? When youāre Eddie Munson, every happening, no matter how minor, is made as huge and bombastic as possible. He does view Jinu with genuine admiration for braving the world beyond the anchor points and bringing this tape all the way back to him. ]
Hey, thereās gotta be at least one other metalhead in Panorama, dude. One even more charismatic and charming and more worthy of 1991 Metallica. But uh, wildly unlikely, I know.
[ He leans into Jinuās personal bubble briefly, grinning, then pulls back again. He may be right, but heās the only metalhead who has made it expressly known, soā¦he wins!
Then he tips his head, an almost knowing smile on his face. He obviously hasnāt listened to the tape beyond this one song yet, but he recognizes the words of a man who has clearly been playing a single song half to death. He knows what thatās like. Heās worn entire tapes out listening to a single track in the past, and he knows heād be kicked out of every motel room heās taken up residence in if he hadnāt opted to live out of his van instead. ]
Uh huh. And just how many times did you listen to it?
[He's mostly teasing, because he's pretty sure there's gotta be a couple of people like Eddie in the whole of Panorama; loud, bombastic rock music has its perks! He couldn't deny the energy could be just as infectious as pop, if it's in the right hands...
Uuuugh. Speaking of liking a little rock...
He winces, knowing full well a lie would be easily seen through.]
... Double digits. It would be a nice song to learn on a guitar, once I can afford one.
[ Eddie can sense heās being teased and sticks his tongue out in a positively fantastic show of maturity. Metalheads are kind of a dime a dozen, itās true, even if small town Indiana tries so desperately to quash them. But Eddie has yet to find any here, and for all he knows, theyāre a dying breed. ]

[ He practically cackles with glee knowing that Jinu has been gotten by the power of rock. Sure, he may be more of a pop guy, but itās nice to know that he has some expanded taste in there somewhere. ]
