Eddie is a D&D fanatic, Metallica-loving metalhead from 1986 Hawkins, Indiana who had a really bad spring break.
In March of 1986, he’s rounding out his third shot at senior year (he's really gonna graduate this time), already labeled a “freak” and a troublemaker due to his unconventional interests and not so stellar grades. He’s cool with it, though. He plays guitar in a band, heads a D&D club, and has a small business on the side—okay, he sells drugs, but money is money. He’s mere months away from leaving Hawkins behind him.
Until he experiences the world's worst case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time when he tries to sell drugs to a particularly popular girl from school. Turns out that Hawkins is cursed-cursed, and Eddie didn't watch the previous three seasons so he didn’t know just how bad it was. Girl dies in his trailer via an unseen supernatural force, and bing bang boom, Eddie is terrified, on the run, and also wanted for murder while the rest of the town is in full blown satanic panic mode looking for him.

Demeanor
Eddie exudes nervous energy. He's never really still, either tapping his fingers, fidgeting, or pacing like he's waiting for something to happen. He's exceedingly anxious, but also exceedingly confident at the same time. He knows who he is, and nothing could make him ashamed to be himself. He's a total free spirit, limited only by his occasional fear--an what he's scared of is never irrational. He's loud and flamboyant and opinionated, constantly fired up and sort of intimidating. But he's also friendly and quick to smile, and cares deeply for all the little black sheep and outsiders of the world.
Appearance
In 1986 smalltown Indiana where satanic panic is rampant, Eddie apparently looks terrifying. But in truth, he looks no different from your average metalhead. He's tall and lanky and not particularly muscular, leaning more towards wire. He has enormous brown eyes that could rival any doe’s, a mess of long, dark curly hair that probably holds a ton of secrets, and a number of tattoos, all inked poorly.
Skills & Abilities
Eddie's major skills lie in music and storytelling, but he knows cars and how the work relatively well, so if you need someone to hotwire a car, especially an older model? He's your man. He doesn't like doing it, but he'll get over it.
