ABRAXAS; au info
Wayfaring Stranger
King of Twilight
Man on the Silver Mountain
Wrathchild
Eddie has always had an incredibly strong sense of self, so his personality has gone almost entirely unchanged over the years. Heās still loud, dramatic, strange and off-putting, but humorous and relatively friendly. He still has a youthful charm about him, still has all his quirks and nervous energy, but heās become a cacophony of noiseācrashing thunder, metal on metal, power chords, nothing about what he shows the world is ever quiet. While his anxiety levels have gone down over the years, his chaos meter has slowly, slowly cranked all the way up to eleven and beyond.
Quiet moments are rare for him these days, but if you catch him during one, you may understand why he chooses to drown the world out and surround himself with mortals. Thereās a sad and overwhelming sense of loneliness about him. So many of his friends have drifted over the decades, some never leaving their own planes and some never actually showing they faces. Some have been changed entirely and while borders mean nothing to a god, it still troubles him. It cuts him deeply and he takes it personally, even if itās not about him, so he clings to those who have stuck around, and when he can, forces his way into the lives of those who have chosen to seclude themselves.
Eddie is more hands-on than other gods, and very available, especially for the right type of person. He still has a soft spot for outsiders and those who don't "belongā, and some people who fit that bill claim that he approached them long before theyāve even thought to invoke his name, asking forĀ theirĀ help in some innocuous questāmaybe itās a bizarre scavenger hunt, or heāll ask them to tell him a joke. Itās always easy stuff, and the people approached by Eddie are always blessed, even if he critiques their work.
But he canāt catch everyone who needs his help, and people will often approach him as well. Some are lost sheep, and some are looking for his blessing on a long quest. In cases like this, heāll insist they play a game with him first (A NORMAL GAME NOT A SAW-TYPE GAME), or that they listen to a song,Ā orĀ complete a silly little quest along with him. If someone is shitty or rude about it or he catches wind theyāre just not a great person, woe, affliction be upon ye.
While Eddie is a generally benevolent and friendly god, there are still a couple of catches. Eddie is a protector; a defender, but he is very capable of having a temper and heāll do pretty much anything to keep his little sheep safe. He doesnāt like bullies, and he doesnāt like tyrants or tormentors. People like that get a singleĀ warning in the form of a good scare (always fun for him). This usually does the trick, but there have been a handful of times where he's had to get a little more violent to get his point across.
HisĀ domain hasnāt changed much either, but itās larger now, and the castle is absolutely the focal point. It's more grand and more rambling than. before, but if you squint, itās still easy to see its humble beginnings. The tiny trailer can still be found tucked deep into the woods that have grown wild, though it's fallen into disrepair, like someone stopped visiting it over the years. That alone could be a catalyst to remember his uncle.
While he dwells most often in his more human form, he sometimes appears as a large, shadowy, bat-like creature with glowing yellow eyes and a mouth full of sharp teeth. This is his "true" god form, and seeing it is somewhat rare, and only those who are actively seeking him out have seen it. People who have borne witness to this form describe it as looking menacing and being disturbingly silent--an odd contrast to his more human form which he prefers to appear as.
He can also turn into a whole cloud of bats just to mess with people. And does.
His godhood was the result of an attempt to finally bridge the gap of being dead back home but alive in Abraxas. Some say he took the steps to become a vampire to remedy this, but itās unclear what actually happened and if the vampire story is actually true or if it's just all aesthetics. Either way, something has freed him of his fear and anxiety over the years, making him a lot more reckless and confident.
For a long time, longer than most, he retained all of his pre-Abraxas memories. But the years have taken their toll and gaps have finally begun to form, creating spaces where people, events, and songs used to be. His uncle is the biggest and most important thing missing, but he's also forgotten bandmates, friends, anyone who helped him during the whole Satanic Panic ordeal--pretty much everyone who isn't in Abraxas along with him. He's aware that his roots are not in Abraxas, but that part of his life has begun to blur around the edges. He doesn't talk about it much anymore, sometimes even questions it himself, especially because Steve and Dustin don't seem to recall it the way he does.
The one thing he recalls with absolute clarity is Chrissy Cunningham's death, though some of the context to that event has been faded over time. He doesn't remember where they were or why he was with her, but he does recall the event in vivid detail and most of what happened afterward, including his death.
He tends to stick close to Solvunn, whether out of a sense of duty or a sense of nostalgia, but he is a traveller. This is in part thanks to VIEWERS LIKE YOU. So many of his fellow Summoned have distanced themselves over the years, and he's not about to lose the people he cares about. You're not getting rid of him that easily, so he's been known to pop in from time to time whether you need him or not.
They believe bats are a good omen and in some smaller villages, it's believed that Eddie creates good and bad luck and twists it to his whim. If you're having a bad day, well, that's probably Eddie rolling the dice against you again. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
By this point, the story of his tragic mortal death and the final sacrifice he made have spread, becoming stuff of legends. People going on long or dangerous journeys seek him out in hopes that heāll bless their final quest with good luck.

Just imagine an MCR music video if they did more music videos for their first album.
⢠His music taste hasnāt changed in 800 years. The ancient sounds of Iron Maiden still drift from his domainā¦
⢠Goat Destroyer (he and Nanaueās ābandā) is still around. Theyāre celebrating their 800th anniversary tour. One of their biggest performances was playing on top of a mountain and fighting Frostwyrms and it was cooler than anything the rest of you have ever done.
⢠If he's ever considered you a friend or important to him, even if you've drifted from him over the years, he has a tattoo for you.
⢠He's been known to hold hundreds-years grudges over incredibly small things, but it's hard to tell sometimes just how serious he is about it.
⢠Someone tried to dub him "Batman" once. He did not allow that one to stick.
⢠FUN BAT FACT. Did you know vampire bats have been observed adopting motherless babies? Well Eddie and Steve are a thing in this AU and they've adopted Dustin. It's what Dustin deserves.
